Q. Are maps returnable?
A. Due to the "print to order" status of wall maps sales, maps are NOT returnable and all sales are final. In rare occasions with prior approval we will consider a return for certain of our most popular map titles, but in these cases, a minimum 20% restock fee will be charged in addition to any shipping cost incurred by Hedberg Maps. Please contact us with questions.
Q. Can I send a purchase order if I am an educational institution?
A. Yes, we are happy to received purchase orders from qualified educational institutions. Please note, however, due to the increased administrative time along with payment terms, we charge a $15 administrative fee. This fee is waived for all purchase orders over $100. Also, actual shipping charges are added to the invoice vs. the online shipping fee. This is generally higher as the online lower shipping fee covers the prepayment with a credit card.
Q. Does Hedberg Maps have a brick and mortar store where I can view and purchase maps?
A. Customers are welcome to visit us at our business office in the Northrup King Building in Northeast Minneapolis. Please contact us ahead of time to arrange so we can be sure to be available when you arrive. Also note that most of the wall maps we sell are printed to order; however, we do have a limited selection of the most popular wall maps on hand at the office as well as all of our printed folded maps. Our address is 1500 Jackson St NE, Suite 338, Minneapolis, MN 55413. Our hours are by appointment so it is essential that a time is arranged.

In the MInneapolis-St Paul Area, AAA in St Louis Park and Barnes and Noble booksellers tend to carry some of the most popular Hedberg Maps (many published under the "Professor Pathfinder" brand). Hedberg Maps' publications are also distributed into many area gas stations/convenience stores
Nationwide, check your local map specialty shop or any Barnes & Noble store. Map selection and inventory levels vary by location.

Q. I want to place an order on behalf of a tax-exempt organization, how can I do that?
A. Hedberg Group only collects sales tax on orders that ship to a Minnesota address. If you are shipping to a Minnesota address, the tax-exempt certificate and the order details can be sent to us via email. Often it is easiest for the order to be placed and then upon receipt of the exempt form, we can credit back the sales tax.

Q. Why would I need a printed map when I can get maps on my phone or GPS?
A. GPS and phone maps are improving all the time and are a reasonably reliable way to navigate from one point to another. Printed maps, by comparison, are good for:
1. Seeing the "big picture". Literally, one can see a larger more detailed area, which can be helpful for understanding context.
2. Exercising one's brain. Finding one's own route - and maybe even mixing it up by taking different streets once in a while.
3. Discover new and intriguing points of interest that would have otherwise gone unseen.
